A college’s plans to demolish an old building and build a new teaching block were given the go-ahead by councillors last night.
The proposals from Harrow College for a new facility at its Harrow Weald campus, in Brookshill were granted planning permission by Harrow Borough Council’s planning committee.
The new structure will mean the redevelopment and part-demolition of an existing building.
It will be the college’s new facility for learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and will include a courtyard, sensory room and additional classrooms.
The plans were submitted to the council in February this year and the college held a number of consultation events with people living near the site.
