Runners looking for their next challenge can enjoy a five mile route around Claygate’s stunning green countryside and village scenery.

With a huge emphasis on inclusivity, organisers of the Claygate Country Five compare the event to the Commonwealth Games, because it is open to everyone.

Every year, the event welcomes those competing for the best time or those simply taking part for the fun of it and adults and children of all ages join in year after year.

Elisa Newson-Smith, organiser of the Claygate Country Five, said: "It’s brilliant to see people of all ages come back each year to see if they can do even better and of course have fun.

"The atmosphere is fantastic and hopefully people will be inspired to take part by the Commonwealth Games which starts only 10 days later."

The run features four age groups for both male and female runners, including under 16s plus a family section for relatives who wish to run together.
