An award recognising the achievements of Claygate residents has been presented to the chairman of the flower and village show.
The Brian Rhodes Community Cup is handed out each year to the person or team who Claygate Parish Council councillors feel have contributed the most to the village during the last year.
Barry Fitzpatrick, chairman of Claygate Flower and Village show, and his wife were the winners of this year’s award in recognition of the work they do for the key village event.
Mr Fitzpatrick said: "The cup is for the whole show, which is a team effort rather than an individual award, but nonetheless we are proud to receive this amazing cup."
The cup was presented by Mark Sugden, chairman of the parish council, at the Claygate village meeting on May 29.
