A “brilliant and patient” dad won a special Father’s Day award in a competition in Edgware.
Michael Lambert, from Edgware, was nominated for the Father’s Day Star Award at The Broadwalk by his grown-up daughter Annette Stevens.
Mr Lambert won a hamper of prizes, including an engraved award, aftershave, ale, handkerchiefs, cakes, sweets and games.
His daughter said: “My dad is great because he has a lot of patience and is a brilliant teacher. He taught me everything I know about DIY and how to live my life.
“My amazing dad is now teaching this philosophy to my children, including how to makes things from scratch and how to fix anything that’s broken. They are learning that anything you work hard at is worth it and that the best memories are made at granny and grandad’s house.”
