British Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted at a station.

A 27-year-old man was beaten with wooden poles in broad daylight on the platform of Harringay Green Lanes London Overground station.

The attack, which happened shortly before 11am on Tuesday, May 6, left the victim needing hospital treatment.

Officers have now released CCTV images of two men they think will be able to assist them with their investigation into the incident.

Detective Constable Graeme Knox, of BTP Euston, said: “The victim was at the station when he was attacked by a man. Another man arrived a short time later and also took part in the assault.

"They both used weapons, believed to be wooden poles, which left the victim needing hospital treatment for a cut to his forehead.

“I’m keen to speak to anyone who thinks they might recognise the men pictured or who was at the station at the time and witnessed the incident."
