English rugby star Ugo Monye gave advice on the importance of hard work to graduates at ACS Cobham at the end of last month.

Monye was a guest speaker at the event on May 30, which saw more than 130 grade 12 students celebrate finishing their final year at the school.

They were joined by more than 300 parents, teachers and friends who congratulated the 17 to 18-year-olds on completing their high school diplomas.

The students studied either an International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP) or the Advanced Placement (AP), which are both internationally-recognised qualifications.

Speeches were also made by students Lauren Berg and Yousif Salih, who thanked staff and recounted past experiences during their time at the international school.

Commenting on the ceremony, Principal Chris Walker said: "After putting in so much work and dedication it’s very satisfying to see the students come together to celebrate their achievements."
