A care home got into the charitable spirit by releasing balloons and raising money for a cancer support charity.
Staff members at Appleby House, in Longmead Road, Epsom, a residential care home for the elderly, raised £200 for the Macmillan Cancer Support charity through donations from staff, relatives and shops in Pound Lane.
Staff also dressed in their pyjamas for the day and released balloons in memory of loved-ones lost to cancer to mark the fundraising.
Shona Bradbury, the home’s manager, said: "Residents and visitors to the home found it highly amusing seeing staff members coming to work dressed in pajamas and hair rollers.
"The event was made even more special when passing traffic acknowledged the balloon release."
