Barnet has the fourth lowest number of teenagers not in education or employment in the country, figures show.
Statistics from the Department for Education show the borough has just 2.3 per cent of 16 to 18-year-olds not studying, in employment or training (NEET).
Barnet figures show that of the 9,967 known to the council, 230 were recorded as NEET’s, compared to 3.5 per cent in the previous year.
The figures are the second lowest in London.
