Oscar winning director Sir Peter Jackson has created a short war film which will be shown at the Royal Air Force Museum next month.
Sir Peter, responsible for Hollywood Blockbusters King Kong, Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, will showcase his film Crossing the Line at the Colindale museum's film season between July 10 and July 13.
Before each main feature, the museum will show Crossing the Line, which has never been screened in the United Kingdom.
The film tells the story of a young infantryman and a pilot and their mementoes from home.
The main feature films include Beneath Hill 60, Lawrence of Arabia, Paths of Glory and The Blue Max.
For each one, Sir Peter has also written a short critique explaining how they have influenced his own love of film-making and storytelling.
