Schoolchildren waved banners warning motorists to lower their speed as part of a national campaign.
Children lined up outside The Mount School in Mill Hill, where they were reminded about road safety and the benefits of walking before taking part in road safety charity Brake’s annual Walking Bus.
The aim of the event is to promote road safety, raise awareness of the dangers of traffic and encourage drivers to slow down to 20mph near schools, homes and shops.
Whilst walking up Milespit Hill, the children held up banners with 20mph signs emblazoned on them.
On returning to the school, the girls said the campaign had encouraged them to walk more often and they hoped drivers would listen to the campaign.
