Education exhibition launched at Pinner Synagogue
An exhibition to teach schoolchildren across the country about life for Jewish people in the UK was launched this week.
The exhibition of Jewish life in Britain was officially opened at Pinner Synagogue, in Cecil Park, by treasurer of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, Judge Laurence Brass, with the Mayor of Harrow Councillor Nana Asante.
The exhibition features stands with information on aspects of British Jewish life such as a mocked up Shabbat table, examples of kosher foods and puzzles.
The exhibition will travel round schools across the country as part of an educational tour.
Judge Brass said: “The new Jewish Living Exhibition is a key plank in the board’s strategy to address the ignorance and prejudice that can enable anti-Semitism to thrive, as well as giving a positive impression of Judaism.
“I am extremely proud of this excellent educational tool and I am delighted that we were able to launch it at such a well attended event in Harrow.”
