They say it is never too late to learn and a series of free workshops will seek to prove just that during Adult Learners' Week this month.
Classes including language lessons, technology tips and business boosts will be held by Haringey Council across the borough between Saturday, June 14, and Friday, June 20.
The initiative is part of a national scheme to give more adults the skills they need to work and succeed.
Among the sessions are French, Spanish and Mandarin lessons, tips on marketing small businesses, and a range of computer software and Internet classes.
Along with one-off sessions, the council has a full programme of low-cost adult learning throughout the year, timed throughout the day and week.
For more information on adult learning and what workshops are available next week, contact the council by visiting the website or calling 020 8489 2500.
