People will be treated to the curious sight of mad hatters, the Queen of Hearts and a group of Cheshire cats at a tea party to raise money for a cancer charity.
The Alice in Wonderland characters will gather at the home of Lesley Mason in Leicester Road, New Barnet, when she opens her house to help support Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Ms Mason and her friends, Kay Perry and Justine Ash, raised £2,700 at their Mad Hatters Tea Party last year so decided to repeat the event.
She said: “It’s going to be a fantastic event with scrummy sarnies, fabulous cakes, waitress service, music and dancing, games, side stalls and generally a lovely excuse for a good get together and a scoff and quaff.
“The more money we raise, the more free care Marie Curie Nurses can provide to terminally ill people in Barnet, as well as vital emotional support for their families.”
Celebrity child psychologist, professor Tanya Byron, will also be making an appearance at the party.
The first 45 people who donate £10 or more via their just giving page will also be entered into a raffle.
It will be held at 60 Leicester Road, Barnet, at June 22 from 3pm and anyone is welcome to attend.
