A 16-year-old boy from South Norwood will appear at the Old Bailey today charged with murdering an 18-year-old in Sydenham.

The boy, who cannot be named because of his age, is one of four youths accused of stabbing to death James Hunter in Wells Park Road on May 31.

A 15-year-old from Lewisham, a 17-year-old from Sydenham and a 16-year-old from Catford are also accused of murder.

All four boys appeared at Bromley Youth Court last week and were remanded in custody.

Four other youths were arrested in connection with the attack, in which another boy was stabbed.

A 13-year-old and a 15-year-old have been bailed until later in the month and two other teenagers were released without charge.

Mr Hunter died of multiple stab wounds at the scene, where police were called to reports of a fight.
