Police have traced what they descibed as a "vital witness" in the investigation into a fatal crash.
Father-of-three Delano Moore, 25, from Chingford, was killed when the car he was travelling in was in a collision with a N38 bus in Lea Bridge Road, at 2.20am on Wednesday, near Leyton border with Clapton.
Police appealed for the driver of a car seen near the car Mr Moore was travelling in to come forward.
The car and driver have now been traced, but police have released no further detail.
No one has been arrested.
Three men who were travelling in Mr Moore's car remain in hospital, one of whom is in a critical condition.
A number of passengers on the bus were treated for minor injuries.
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Chadwell Heath is investigating.
Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact the Witness Appeal line on 020 8597 4874 or via 101. Police enquires continue. But there have been no arrests.
