A boy hit by a van yesterday afternoon remains in a serious condition in hospital.
The incident took place at around 3.45pm yesterday, June 5, when a white Citroen van collided with the six-year-old at the junction of the A245 Kingston Road and Bay Tree Avenue, in Leatherhead.
Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service quickly attended the scene and the boy was taken by ambulance to St George's Hospital, in Tooting, with life-threatening injuries.
Bay Tree Avenue remains closed while investigators examine the scene but the A245 Leatherhead Road has been fully reopened.
