A cake sale and charity raffle raised £300 for a charity that supports people with a rare genetic condition.

Marina Nader, whose daughter who was diagnosed with the condition at three weeks old, organised the event in aid of Prader-Willi Syndrome Association.

Mrs Nader, manager of Leightons Opticians, held the fundraiser at her workplace in Epsom High Street on Saturday.

She said: "It was really, really good. The condition is not common so a lot of people did not know what it was. I definitely feel that we created a lot more awareness."
