Police have released an image of a mystery dead man in the hope of uncovering his identity.

The man's body was found in the grounds of a former health clinic, now a disused building, in Morland Road, Addiscombe, at about 3.05pm on May 8.

Detectives are treating his death as non-suspicious and this afternoon released a computer-generated image of his face.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the man's clothes were clean and it did not appear he had been sleeping rough.

Enquires have led the police to believe the man had been living in rented accommodation at the time of his death and had recently lost his job.

He was found wearing a black v-neck sweater, brown shirt, blue denim jeans, a brown belt and black lace-up boots.

A small black bag was found near his body.

Officers are particularly interested in hearing from landlords with a tenant matching the man's description who has gone missing or not paid rent.

Anyone with information is asked to call Croydon Missing Persons Unit on 020 8649 0016 or 101.
