A car has crashed into a wall at a doctors’ surgery in Ewell causing "pandemonium" according to a councillor.

Councillor Pamela Bradley, who lives in Ewell, said that the crash happened in the car park of Fitznells Manor Surgery, in Chessington Road, several hours ago.

Coun Bradley said: "There has been a massive smash-up. The driver tried to get into the last space in the car park but hit the wall and everything came down.

"They knocked a piece of wall out that has more than 100 bricks. The car is a write-off.

“People are stopping to look, people are wondering if they can go in the car park and people are in there trying to tidy up."

A spokesman at Epsom fire station said that a red Jaguar hit a parked Ford Focus into a brick wall at about 9.30am.

He said: “A lady was reversing an automatic car and she pushed the wrong pedal by accident. It hit another car that went into a brick-built garage and knocked the wall through.

“No-one was injured but the building was unstable. We made sure the structure was safe for people to be around it.”
