Antisocial behaviour will be at the top of the agenda at the Elmbridge Community Safety Partnership annual meeting.

Surrey Police, Elmbridge Council, Surrey Fire and Rescue and Paragon Housing will all attend the meeting on Thursday, June 12, giving their end of year reports and taking questions from residents.

A presentation on the new legislation which will put victims of antisocial behaviour at the heart of the response will also take place.

The powers, which will come into effect in October, will give victims of antisocial behaviour a stronger voice and will give agencies dealing with the complaints greater flexibility.

Peter Kipps, community safety partnership manager, said: “We need to know what is working and what is not, and it’s important that the public are aware of the changes to legislation and what they can expect from those changes.

“Our aim is to deal effectively with crime and antisocial behaviour and to tackle the issues Elmbridge residents and businesses want addressed.”
