Two men who carried out a terrifying robbery at a house in south west London may be working in the Barnet area, say police.

Officers are still trying to trace the pair after another man, Herbert Osuji, was jailed at Kingston Crown Court on Thursday for planning the robbery.

The two men stole £45,000 worth of watches, jewellery and cash when they targeted the house on the recommendation of Osuji on July 20 last year.

A 36-year-old woman who lived in the house was grabbed, hit in the face and locked in her wardrobe while the pair ransacked the house.

Osuji had been acting as a personal fitness trainer to the woman when he planned the crime with his two unknown associates.

The first man is described as a light-skinned black male with wide-set brown eyes, 21 to 23 years old, 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build.

The second is a dark-skinned black male, 22 or 23 years old, 5ft 6ins tall and of medium build, and both spoke with London accents.

Osuji was sentenced to 12 years in prison last week, with past robbery convictions taken into account, after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery and one count of theft.

Detective Constable Ailsa Jardine of Wandsworth CID said: “We will continue to pursue the two men who carried out this violent and vile robbery.

“These men terrorised a lone woman in her own home and I would appeal to the public to help bring them to justice.”

Anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
