UPDATE - PICTURES: Man suffers serious injuries after crashing into Northfleet traffic lights
A man has been rushed to hospital after crashing into a set of traffic lights in Northfleet.
Kent Police were called to Earl Road near the junction of Perry Street at 5.17am today to reports of a crash.
The driver had suffered serious injuries and was taken to King’s College Hospital in Denmark Hill.
Police are still at the scene with Highways Agency workers who are repairing the traffic lights and cleaning an oily substance from the middle of the road.
Parts of Earl Road, Hall Road, Coldharbour Road and Perry Street are currently closed.
They are expected to re-open in roughly one hour.
