Soldiers from a variety periods set up camp in a park in Ewell on Saturday.
The event in Bourne Hall Park, featured re-enactors dressed in costumes ranging from the Napoleonic Wars to World War Two telling the story of local men who marched away.
Serving soldiers were also present from the TA 135 Geographic Sq Royal Engineers, the support team of the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment (PWRR) plus the Army Cadets 155 PWRR (Ewell).
It raised nearly £540 for the national armed forces charity SSAFA.
David Brooks, museum assistant at Bourne Hall, said: "It was great fun. People enjoyed trying out weapons and watching demonstrations."
