A HILLINGDON school for children with learning difficulties has been labelled ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted for the third time.

Pield Heath House Roman Catholic School in Pield Heath Road, Uxbridge, was given top rating for both the school and residential care unit in its latest inspection.

Pield Heath is a non-maintained school for children aged 7-19 with complex learning needs.

The school offers day, residential and short-break provision for students from all areas of West London and is one of a group under the trusteeship of the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, a registered charity.

Sister Julie Rose, executive principal, said of the award: “It is a fantastic endorsement of our staff, school ethos and the progress made by our students.”

An Ofsted spokesperson said Pield Heath residential students had a highly inclusive yet individualised residential experience.
