Banstead students enjoyed a BMX stunt show at their school after pedaling to victory in a national cycling challenge.

Warren Mead Junior School, in Roundwood Way, came first in the borough in the Big Pedal competition, organised by sustainable transport charity Sustrans, which encouraged pupils to cycle or scoot to schools.

After collecting their winners' trophy last week, the students were treated to a spectacular stunt show on Friday, May 16.

Headteacher Sandra Cunningham said "We are really proud of all our efforts as cycling is an integral part of our learning at the school.

"The children were very excited to see the BMX stunt show take place."
