A unique performance of The Jungle Book will see children from the audience rehearse and play some of the parts in a production of the classic tale.
Rudyard Kipling’s much-loved story will be brought to life by the youngsters when it comes to the Epsom Playhouse.
Set in the vibrant tropical jungle of India, this production will dramatise the journey to maturity of Mowgli, the man cub. With loving care from his adopted wolf family and much advice from Bagheera, the panther, and Baloo, the bear, Mowgli stands firm against the manipulations of master tiger Shere Khan.
The first part of the production will be a light-hearted half-hour rehearsal in which the audience is taught the choruses of four songs and ten children will be chosen and rehearsed into small parts in the play.
During a break, those taking part will be costumed and take part in the next part of the performance.
