Beer tasting, hog roast and a lumberjack display, what more could a man want for a Saturday evening?
Showmen Adams Axeman take over Chestnut Grove School, Balham from 7.30pm tomorrow, providing a unique chance to see the traditional work of lumberjacks who still use techniques formed before the invention of the chain saw.
Wandsworth’s Belleville Brewery and brewers The Cronx and By The Horns have supplied the beer for tasting.
The event, organised by Christ Church Balham and other local churches, will include a talk by Pastor Pete Woodcock, titled ‘The Axe’ and will draw on references to the axe in the Bible.
