Sweet treats were displayed for all to see as Brooklands College students proved themselves great bakers.

From crafted fruits to blossoming flowers, a range of sugar-craft creations were positioned on elaborate cakes , which were expertly created by cake decorating students.

Sue Haskell, lecturer at Brooklands College, said: “I am pleased to see all of the cake decorations together in one room. The impressively striking designs are inspiring for the other students to see.

“We encourage students to discover their own style and many enter competitions too.”

Students on sugar-craft courses are able to learn techniques including marzipan modelling, wired sugar flowers and pressure piping.
