Disruptions are expected to set in as an Edmonton tunnel is set to receive an upgrade.
The Fore Street Tunnel will be shut between 10pm and 5.30am for every Monday to Friday, commencing on Monday, May 19.
The tunnel, built in 1998, forms part of the North Circ and will improve lighting and make the tunnel safer in a bid to reduce further maintenance.
Four full weekends will also see the tunnel close during the winter this year and Transport for London expects to complete the work by the end of 2015.
Garrett Emmerson, chief operating officer for TfL said: “TfL manages more road tunnels than any other highway authority in the UK and it is vitally important that we keep them in a safe state and upgrade them to ensure they are fit for the future.
“We are committed to keeping disruption caused by these works to a minimum, and apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused as a result of the improvements we’re making.”
