A social worker from Walton has scooped £1,000 to help pay for his honeymoon one year after his wedding.
Stuart Reynold, 31, won the money from the Magners cider £1k-a-day promotion and will now be able to take his wife away after a tough year.
After getting married in 2013, the arrival of the couple’s daughter and the loss of Mr Reynold’s mother meant they were unable to take a honeymoon.
Mr Reynold’s win comes after he raised more than £1,000 for Cancer Research through a Tough Mudder challenge.
Mr Reynolds said: “I had to pinch myself to believe it when I got the call. I never win anything.
“My wife will be delighted, when I got the call on holiday she knew something was going on by my reaction, but I wanted to keep her in suspense. Now we can finally go on our dream honeymoon.”
