David Lammy, MP for Tottenham, visited the McDonald's on Tottenham High Road yesterday.

Mr Lammy met Tottenham's McDonald’s franchisee Hamid Darbandi to find out more about how the business operates locally and discuss McDonald’s community activity.

Mr Darbandi, who originally joined McDonald’s 30 years ago, said: “As a franchised restaurant, we are essentially a local business, and I’m pleased we had the opportunity to show him our kitchen and restaurant operations, explain the changes we have introduced in recent years to our menu, and highlight our investment in the community and our staff.”

David Lammy said: “It was a great pleasure to meet Hamid and his team and get to know more about how the business operates locally. I was particularly pleased to hear about the number of local employees who are benefitting from the different training schemes available at McDonald’s.”
