A student short film about bullying has been shortlisted for an award.

Pupils between 12 and 16 at Richmond Park Academy (RPA) submitted their film, Open Your Eyes, to the Adobe Youth Voices award.

The film will be shown, along with other entries, on the largest screen at British Film Institute’s Southbank cinema from 12.30pm to 3.30pm on Thursday, May 22.

Adobe Youth Voices co-ordinator Rakhee Jasani said: “What is most powerful about the shortlisted pieces is how well the young media makers have brought together powerful storytelling techniques with a keen visual eye to create pieces on issues that matter to them that are thought provoking and moving.”

Audience voting is open and students at RPA will find out if they have won in the narrative film category on June 18.
