Debo Adewumi is the secretary of the Nigerian Community in Waltham Forest (NICOWF).

He is speaking out on behalf of the group about the global condemnation of the recent abduction of school pupils in the Northern part of Nigeria by the Islamic sect called Boko Haram.

Nearly one month ago, 200 school girls were kidnapped from the secondary school in Chibok, a remote area in the state of Borno.

Mr Adewumi is calling on the insurgents to pull together and desist from troubling the peace and tranquillity in Nigeria, and agrees with President Goodluck Jonathon that the abduction of the schoolgirls marks the turning point on the war against terrorism in Nigeria.
