Everyone loves a good animal video clip, but now a film has been created to bring these guilty pleasures for pets themselves to enjoy.

History is set to be made as the first film made for pets will be aired at the Pets at Home store in New Malden.

The project has been put together by sourcing thousands of hours of footage submitted by more than 13,000 pet owners from all over the country and proud owners and pet alike are being invited to walk down the grassy carpet and watch the film in style.

Yo Wright, the store manager at the Bushey Road store, has been organising the event.

He said: "Saturday will be a real celebration; we’ve got face painters, pet treats in popcorn boxes and pet premiere goodie bags."

The film itself has been directed by Joan Hillery, known for her personal and handheld style of filming.

This focus will be used to look closely at the relationship between owner and pet which features the colourful characters of Whiskey the Cat, Alfie the Duck, Haddock Bat the Hamster and many more.

An advert for the film itself is being premiered during the ad break of Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday night which will give anybody who misses the event the chance to catch the action.

The film will start at 1pm tomorrow at Pets at Home, Bushey Road, Raynes Park, SW20 0JQ.
