Horley Local History Society, which will this month hear from a member of the East Grinstead Museum Society about some of the history of their town and the story of their own museum, is to hold a reciprocal visit there in July.
A member of the East Grinstead Museum Society will talk about some of the museum's surgical display, that used to be in the town's Queen Victoria Hospital, at the Horley Society's meeting in The Strawson Hall at 156 Albert Road, Horley, on Thursday, May 22, at 8pm. The presentation will be followed up with an evening visit and guided tour of East Grinstead Museum in Cantelupe Road, East Grinstead, on Thursday, July 24, with Horley members meeting outside it at 6.45pm.
There is a small car park at East Grinstead Museum or parking in the nearby De La Warr Road car park.
Horley Local History Society meets on the fourth Thursday of most months in the Strawson Hall. Website: www.horleyhistory.org.uk
