One of Guitar Player magazine’s 1,000 greatest guitarists will bring his unique solo acoustic show to Drumfire Live at Twickenham’s Cabbage Patch.

World-renowned singer-songwriter Clive Gregson, leader of cult band Any Trouble, says after more than 30 years as a professional musician he still loves the buzz of a live performance more than anything.

He says: “Performing live is what is still really exciting for me. There’s nothing to hide behind. If it’s good the audience reacts to it, if it’s bad then they let you know. I love that there’s nothing between me and the audience.”

Gregson has worked alongside Christine Collister, Nanci Griffith and Richard Thompson on some of the world’s greatest stages, but says you cannot beat the intimacy of a smaller venue.

He says: “I’ve performed at huge festivals like Glastonbury and Reading, which are great, but to be honest I prefer a more intimate venue.

“It’s been a few years since I was at the Patch, but it really is a great venue. I can’t wait.”

Gregson will be supported by Drumfire Records’ Phil Burdett.
