An octogenarian raised thousands of pounds for charity by leaping from an aeroplane as part of his bucket list.
Brave 80-year-old Neville Landau, of Somerset Road, Wimbledon, took to the skies to raise funds for care home organisation Nightingale Hammerson where he has volunteered with wife Gill for three years.
On Saturday he jumped from 15,000 feet in the sky dive, and he has already raised more than £2,100 in sponsorship.
Mr Landau said: "Doing a sky dive had been on my bucket list for ages so combining it with raising funds for Nightingale Hammerson was a win-win.
"Now that I’m 80-years-old I wanted to do something to help those wonderful 80, 90 and 100 year- old residents, many of whom would probably want to jump themselves if they could."
Mr Landau and his wife have looked after the shop at Nightingale House in Nightingale Lane, Wandsworth, for three years but his family has long been involved with Nightingale Hammerson and his grandparents Sarah and Barnet Usick donated a room in the 1950s.
Money raised in the sky dive will help support the costs of providing care to residents and running the care homes in Wandsworth and north London.
