A school is calling for former students to become mentors for young people.

Men and women who once walked the corridors of Lammas School and Sports College in Leyton are being asked to get in touch and offer advice to present pupils.

The school in Seymour Road is one of more than 450 state schools across Britain which have registered with the charity Future First to set up networks of former students.

Past pupils will be career and education role models, mentors or e-mentors, work experience providers, governors, donors or fundraisers.
