Plumes of thick black smoke filled the air as firefighters attempted to extinguish a fire on the North Circular Road yesterday.
Three fire engines were called shortly after 6.30pm to tackle a burning tyre in a yard in Cricklewood.
A pedestrian bridge was also damaged during the blaze, but no one was reported injured.
Smoke billowed across the North Circular, which was reduced to one lane, causing long delays.
The fire was under control by 7.47pm. London Fire Brigade are investigating the cause of the fire.
