TWO Greenford men are raising money for Diabetes UK with a 2,000-mile Top Gear-style driving challenge from Boulogne to Monte Carlo in a car worth less than £300.
How hard could it be?
Tesco colleagues Ian Dodimead and Mark Andrews, from the Greenford dotcom Centre, will spend four days completing their journey.
They will start on May 8 and travel through Switzerland and Italy before arriving in Monte Carlo three days later.
The men are aiming to complete the annual Crumball Rally in a customised £300 Alfa Romeo 147 with a mirrored chrome effect and chequered strips across the bonnet.
The pair hope to raise £3,000 for Tesco’s national charity partner, Diabetes UK.
Ian, a delivery operations manager, said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for colleagues at Tesco to get involved in an exciting fund-raising event.”
Ian and Mark have a JustGiving page and you can follow their journey on twitter @montecarloorbus.
