A man has been sent to prison after being convicted of possession of cannabis with intent to supply at Cobham services.

Pawel Imielinski, 32, of Cumberland Park, London, was sentenced to three years and four months behind bars at Guildford Crown Court on Tuesday, April 29.

Imielinski was arrested at Cobham services on the M25 at about 11pm on March 31 after police received a call saying a silver Jaguar was being erratically between junctions eight and nine.

After a search of his car, police found 22kg of cannabis on the back seat and he was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs and possession of class B drugs with intent to supply.

Detective Inspector Paul Burrill said: “This latest conviction demonstrates our determination to continue to tackle the supply of drugs within the county. This is a safe place for residents and workers alike but for those coming in to deal drugs it is not the place to be.

“I would also like to reassure residents that when we receive information about drug dealing from concerned members of the public, we do act on it.

“I would like to encourage residents to continue providing us with information about suspected drug dealing and taking so that we can stamp it out of our neighbourhoods.”

Anyone who knows about drug-related crimes or issues of antisocial behaviour should call Surrey Police on 101.
