Pets At Home in Redhill will hold a series of free workshops on how to care for rabbits to coincide with Rabbit Awareness Week this month.

Pets at Home in Brighton Road, Redhill, will be holding the rabbit workshops at noon on Saturday, May 10, and Sunday, May 11, and on Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18. Rabbit Awareness Week, running from May 10 to 18, is an annual event in which experts such as vets, pet retailers, welfare charities and manufacturers, work together to educate people on how to give owned rabbits the best care possible.

Redhill store manager John Gaston said: “Rabbits are the UK's third most popular pet, making rewarding pets for adults and supervised older children. “They’re highly intelligent, social, interactive and fun creatures that are extremely clean, and can even be litter trained. “They have very individual and distinct personalities, and often live over ten years old, so having a rabbit as a pet is a long-term commitment.” The store team will be on hand to provide information and advice on how to keep pet rabbits healthy and happy.
