Actor Peter Mayhew will return to his role as Chewbacca in the new Star Wars movie.
Mayhew, 69, who lives in Barnes, will play Han Solo’s furry wookie sidekick once again in in JJ Abrams’ forthcoming Star Wars: Episode VII.
The actor previously starred as Chewbacca in four Star Wars films – the original trilogy that ran between 1977 and 1983, and 2005’s prequel Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
Mr Mayhew is 7 ft 3 ins (or 2.21 metres).
Last year legions of Star Wars fans gathered at Twickenham stadium auditioned for a part in the movie, which is set to come out in December 2015.
