A Palmers Green Church is bringing up is centenary year with a mass celebration this weekend.
St Monica’s Church of Stonard Road in Palmers Green will celebrate 100 years with a special mass followed by a celebratory barbecue.
The mass will be presided over by Cardinal Archbishop Vincent Nichols from Westminster Cathedral at 12pm on Sunday, May 4.
Following the mass, the church will commemorate its 100 years with a barbecue in the church grounds and has invited everyone from the local community to join their ceremony
Father Canon Shaun, parish priest says that this will be a “historic day in the life of the parish.”
The church recently held a public debate surrounding the new mini-holland cycling scheme which is coming to the borough.
