Nursery stalwarts calling it a day, after four decades helping youngsters
A pair of nursery leaders who have run a preschool in Whitton are retiring after almost four decades caring for young children.
Katherine Goldburn, 65, and Carol Cole, 64, have decided to retire after 38 years as teachers at Murray Park Nursery.
The duo have worked together as a strong team with colleague, Andrea Hardy, who came to work as 16-year-old student and has been at the nursery for 22 years.
The pair has enjoyed working with thousands of parents and two to five-year-old children over the years.
Mrs Goldburn said: “To see these children enter the nursery on their first days, and watch them slowly develop in to confident independent little people is a wonderful experience that we are still passionate about.
“They have been our pride our inspiration and without doubt our joy.”
They are looking for someone to run the nursery. Anyone interested should call 07847 647691.
