Joey Barton joins anti-racism campaign with selfie from Richmond Park

This Is Local London: Getting involved: No to racism Getting involved: No to racism

Former Premier League footballer Joey Barton went bananas in Richmond Park yesterday afternoon, as part of an international anti-racism campaign.

The midfielder, currently at Championship outfit QPR, snapped a selfie of himself and his son eating bananas in the royal park.

It comes after Barcelona player Dani Alves hit headlines this week when he picked up and noshed on the curvaceous fruit during a match.

Mr Barton tweeted: "Me and the Boy, Richmond Park #BananaSelfie #NoToRacism".
