Expect to be dazzled by eye-opening free arts and performances when Greenwich and Docklands International Festival returns in June.

The annual festival of free arts aims to make you look at the world in a different way with breathtaking aerial choreography, global stories of war and piece, a pop-up deserts, a flying ship of dreams and an inside out house among the attractions from June 20 to 28.

Muare by Voala is a large-scale, psychedelic spectacular at the National Maritime Museum from 10pm on Friday, June 20, in which aerial acrobats will descend from giant revolving mobiles 30 metres above the ground with live musical accompaniment.

The Old Royal Naval College and Cutty Sark Gardens will host a three-day workshop of outdoor theatre, dance and games called Greenwich Fair from June 20 to 23 which includes stories of a struggle to survive on a desert island (Marc Brew Dance Company’s iLand), musicians performing while gliding like swans on hidden segways (Fanfare Le Snob’s Opus II).
