New parking restrictions were introduced in north Tottenham earlier this month to “free up spaces for residents and support traders”, according to Haringey Council.

But four weeks since they were brought in, members of the Tottenham Traders’ Partnership have complained the controlled parking zones (CPZs) are putting off shoppers and killing the High Road.

The Labour-led local authority held a two-month consultation on the plans last year, and says the restrictions are needed to protect residents’ parking on match days, as well as manage demand from new homes shops and schools being built as part of the regeneration.

But what do you, our readers, think? Vote in our online poll and tell us whether or not you think the newly-introduced restrictions are a good idea.

The poll will run for seven days before we reveal the result.
