A NEW recruit is needed to replace one of Ealing Community Transport’s top drivers, who is retiring this month.

Paul Hurley has worked for ECT for 11 years, providing transport for individuals and groups who have difficulty using other forms.

“The work you do is really rewarding – I get a real buzz out of making someone’s day,” said Paul.

“My favourite thing about ECT is the variety of the work you do, and the support that is given to the staff. It’s the whole package – they really look after you.”

Paul previously worked as an outside broadcast technician for 31 years for the BBC and at Hammersmith Hospital as a heath care assistant.

Daniel Shepherd, general manager at ECT, said: “If we ever have any VIPs visiting us, it’s Paul we put on the job – he is flexible, conscientious, professional and extremely good at his job.

“Paul is the best brand ambassador you could ask for – his attitude and the caring way he conducts himself is exemplary.”

Paul plans to spend his retirement travelling to places he has not seen before and getting back into his sporting passion of golf.

ECT is currently recruiting new drivers. Previous minibus experience is not necessary, as full training will be provided. Visit www.ectcharity.co.uk
