A Rosemary Simmons housing scheme has been named one of the top specialist developments in the country.
Imber Cross in Thames Ditton was placed in the top five by Inside Housing as part of its list of the top 50 affordable developments in the UK.
The development, which includes six apartments specifically designed for people with physical disabilities and six apartments for families on the housing list, are let at 40 per cent of the market rate and provide affordable housing to Elmbridge people.
Paul Yates, chief executive of Rosemary Simmons Memorial Housing, said: “I am delighted that this fantastic scheme of 12 new affordable homes in one of the most expensive locations in the country has been identified as one of the top developments completed in the UK over the last year.
“The feedback from the residents has been excellent and I know that they are very happy to be living in such well designed, spacious and sustainable homes.
“This was a complex development and we worked around three existing residents with disabilities so the entire project team should be very proud of this achievement.”
